Lima Peru, Day One

wow. lima peru is a lot worse than i thought it would be. everything is super cheap. taxis are 3 dollars flat rate anywhere. ajay and i visited the national museum of peru. we got to see tons of pots and other uninteresting pieces of history. i apoligize if none of them are interesting. Please note the short man drinking with us though. I guess you could call him another "paul" from new york. his name was pedro, and he said he knew a great bar that had cheap beer, plus he loved practicing english with us. So we let him guide us although we assume that we will get robbed or grifted in some way. 3 large beers please. ok we're drunk and talking about how peruvians are extremely poor and that the economy will never grow. 2 more beers please. whoa wait a minute pedro, we're drunk and we wanna move on. "it's on me" he says. ok sure. 1 more beer? seriously? alright dude no problem. oh look the check is here. 0h shit you forgot your money. don't worry bro it's ok we got you. Huh? you want 50 solas (16.66 dollars) to feed your kids? Couldn't you have asked for that before we got 90 solas worth of alcohol?

anyways.....tomorrow is the birthday of lima peru, so things should get interesting.
